VERIZON STOP MOTION STUDIO

Since education was a top priority for Verizon, we were tasked to reimagine their in-store workshops from the ground up.

Verizon Stop Motion Studio was introduced as a pilot program in conjunction with the opening of its Destination Store at Mall of America, in Minneapolis. The main goal was to empower ordinary people to create stop motion animations using their phones, Vine and holiday scenes.

In partnership with local artists, we designed and hand-crafted holiday scenes, characters, a comprehensive set of props and signs. All elements had baked in animation tricks to help customers create and tell their stories through Vine.

Then we made how-to videos breaking down the magic of stop motion animation, serving as inspiration for customers interested in the workshop.

Here's a selection of what people created at the workshop.
